REMOTE NODE

iam able to set host to penwb3 (remote node)but when i try to invoke a database from my current node (sugar4) using the following command in gembase " INVOKE 'PENWB3::DISK$WB:[DAT]WEIGHBRIDGE.RDB' AS WB "

it gives an error of " %RDB-F-IO_ERROR, input or output error "

Re: REMOTE NODE

Set the scene by running a RMU/Verify and report the results.

$ rmu/verify/log - PENWB3::DISK$WB[DAT]WEIGHBRIDGE.RDB

Re: REMOTE NODE

Ignore my reply. The node name PENWB3:: indicated a network operation.

Re: REMOTE NODE

I know nothing, but do you have any good
reason to expect gembase to work with a
DECnet-remote file like that? There are many
I/O operations which are possible on a local
file, but which are not possible on a
DECnet-remote file.

Re: REMOTE NODE

Are there any other error messages, e.g. regarding invalid login information?
Is proxy access configured? You may try to add username/password in the attach-string.
