Remove

Does anyone know how I would remove or delete my previous questions that I have asked over the past year to HP? ? I don't want them to appear on this site anymore?

Is there a way to remove them?

Thanks!

Re: Remove

Miles,

I would make such request in the section "Your questions regarding ITRC Forums" :

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/familyhome.do?familyId=295

You can start your won topic there, or join a pre-existing thread if you happen to see one (for example the now dated:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1047322)

Note:

- You could just reply to the topic itself and hopefully a moderator will come by. Of course tthis will pop that topic back to attention, which you might not want.

- You might want to ask the moderator to also delete the request for the delete itself

- You might not like the topic any more, but others may have spend time and energy replying and are hoping that their efforts may benefit future readers. Consequently I do not think moderators should honor any and all delete requests, but judge each particular requests on its merits.

Cheers,
Hein.

Re: Remove

Miles,

In the past, the moderators have deleted inappropriate or mis-characterized posts from the forum.

The ITRC forums exist to build a Knowledge Base of customer questions and problems and related answers and solutions. My personal reason for actively contributing to the forums on a pro-bono (e.g., uncompensated, free, public service) basis is to help the overall community who can query the past forum dialogues for answers, not just resolving the instant problem at hand for a particular forum member.

Deleting your many questions, and the over 221 replies would be discourteous to the forum members who took the time over the last 15 months to compose replies to your questions.

I would not recommend that the moderators honor your request for deletion of all of your posts.

Re: Remove

I agree. I has my post delete because I mistakely posted sensitive information. Cut and Past problem. :(
