SNMP - OID reading problem

I have a network management software getting some data from an OpenVMS machine through SNMP. The problem is that the management software cannot get hrStorageUsed OIDs (actually it gets 2 hrStorageUsed, but there should be more). I suppose that the problem is in the OpenVMS machine, because the management software works correctly with other machines. Could you help me?

Re: SNMP - OID reading problem

Details?

What network management software?

What OpenVMS machine?

Do you have SMH loaded and started?

What are you seeing back?

What are you seeing back from the other (working) boxes? (Tools such as the Unix snmpwalk works nicely here.)

If the software vendor claims OpenVMS support, have you called up the vendor that's supporting the network management software?

Some notes on using the Unix snmpwalk tool with OpenVMS are here:

Having just tested a Unix snmpwalk against an OpenVMS Alpha box (which is mostly-current and with SMH loaded), I see multiple HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageUsed entries for the disks present. So this stuff can work...

Re: SNMP - OID reading problem

What TCP/IP stack is in use on the system?
MultiNet and TCPware don't come with a host resources MIB implementation, but the TCP/IP Services host resources MIB agent can be used with them.
