SNS Watchdog port
found things like:

[...]
[...] SYS$STARTUP:SNS$STARTUP.COM [...]
[...]
$ ! Sns$tcp_number defines the tcp port number to be used in
$ ! communicating with System Watchdog for UNIX Agents. The
$ ! default tcp port number is 251.
$ !

Re: SNS Watchdog transport changing to TCPIP - what ports?
The consolidator is OpenVMS VAX V6.2 and the agent is OpenVMS AXP V7.1. TCPIP is UCX V4.2 ECO 5.
Does the agent not require the same port (251) as the consolidator to communicate back and forth?

That would show on which port a server
("consolidator"?) process is _listening_ (or
not, "Enabled" v. "Disabled"). Did you try,
say:
ucx show devi [ /port = nnn ]
?
That might show you something useful on a
client system.

Knowing nothing, I'd assume so, but a client
(agent?) system might not be _listening_ to
anything.
