You do need to configure the Server to accept connections from sepecified clients.
Well, this is true for SWCC and our HSD's.

Try running sys$manager:swcc_config that allows you to add the details of the Clients that are allowed access to SWCC.

Done that..
I have tried all uppercase entries, lowercases entries, IP entries. I am sure some combination will work. Put entries in hosts file, allowed server to use DNS, no luck.

I am not 100% sure, but I beleive you have to restart the agent process whenever you have made change. I don't have any manual at hand for this at the moment - can you check it, please?

I have been restarting the agent for every change.
I am sure I am missing something simple.. I will advise once/if I ever get this working.

Got it !!!!!

You must have an entry for the agent in winnt/system32/drivers/etc/hosts

I had entries in the lmhosts file but not hosts. The entry must match the node_name of the server running the agent. No FQDN entries.

Congratulations you got it running!

It is still strange. I have set up SWCC a few times in the past and I am sure I _never_ had made an entry to Window's hosts file.

After 3 days of messing around I will take just about any solution.
Now to get EMC's ECC to be able to discover this array.
