The TREE command

I remember from a long time ago using a "TREE" command to get a so-call graphic display of the directories structure from my currect directory down, or even for a whole disk.
Can anyone tell me if this command is a standart part of the OpenVMS, or should I install it seperatly. If so - Where can I get it?

Re: The TREE command

not a standard part of VMS but there various freeware packages that do that sort of thing

Some examples are

Re: The TREE command

Alon, "TREE" was, IIRC, a utility from one of the DECUS/ENCOMPASS/whatever Symposium tapes or possibly from their software library. As Ian indicated, not a native utility.

Re: The TREE command

I found an -very- old DCL routine, which creates a simple tree structure display and attached it.

Re: The TREE command

Alon,

Not quite what you've asked for, but I recall to have used way back in 1986, a utility called MAINT. I think that has the possibility of drawing a directory tree.
You can find MAINT at http://www.decus.org/encompass/libcatalog/description_html/v00358.html

Re: The TREE command

In the Vax days there used to be
SWING
on the Decus tapes.
I cannot remember having seen it on Alpha though.

Anyone know of it?
