Unable to tunnel X11 connections in tcpip version T5.7
Hi,
I'm trying to tunnel X via SSH from a virtual guest running OpenVMS E8.4 and TCPIP Services for OpenVMS T5.7.
I have Reflection 14.0 on my pc, have started ReflectionX, using a reflection terminal, with "tunnel X11 connections" checked, and SSH to the node.
Here's what I get,
UTV_arko@TSF>mc decw$clock
X connection to _WSA17: broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
X Error of failed request: BadConnection (fatal error on display connection)
Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_CreateWindow)
Serial number of failed request: 0
Current serial number in output stream: 0
%XLIB-E-ERROREVENT, error event received from server
Xlib: unexpected connection setup reply from server, type 8.
X Toolkit Error: Can't Open display
%DWT-F-NOMSG, Message number 03AB8204
I'm able to do exactly this on several other OpenVMS nodes (other versions though), but not this one for some reason, have anyone seen this ?
Cheers, /Arne

Re: Unable to tunnel X11 connections in tcpip version T5.7
It's far from certain that any problems reported via ITRC will make it into the correct folks inside HP.
Log a bug report through the reporting channels established for the field test; get this bug report into the bug queue.
Also try the same basic remote-display sequence without ssh involved to the same X Window server; see if this can be manifested with a straight IP connection from OpenVMS to this particular X server. (HP will probably want to know about that.)
