VAX 4000-705A & Version 6.2 Not able to boot from CD.

The CD I have has the following printed on it:

OpenVMS VAX
Operating System v6.2
Binaries
Disk 1 of 1
May 1995
AG-PXKUD-RE
Volume Label VAXVMS062

I have used it before to install VMS on different VAX 4000-10x hardware.

I too believe you are calling out the wrong device for the CD drive. Try doing a:
$ SHOW DEV/FULL
and look for a dev type something like a RRD47 ... that wiould be your CD drive as I recall.

I solved the problem by using the following command.

>>>boot/R5:0 dia4:

And got the $ prompt and restored the image backup successfully.
