VMS732_UAF-V0100 weirdness

There is something strange with this ECO.

First I got the notification that it should be available in 24 hours (thanks to OpenVMS.org). Next it took about ten days to appear on ITRC.
Now I have installed it on my test system and it appears that the new AUTHORIZE.EXE image is about 17 months old!

It took a lot of testing to get that one out!

Anyone care to comment?

Re: VMS732_UAF-V0100 weirdness

Bart,

this problem seems to have already been fixed some time ago (it's fixed in V8.2) and it may not have been thought necessary to ship a new kit with this fix (if no customer raises a call to HP VMS engineering).

The problem itself has been recently discussed in ITRC, see:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=957014

The report of this problem to HP (not necessarily the discussion of the problem in ITRC, but the actual service-call to HP and the subsequent escalation to OpenVMS engineering) may have triggered the release of this ECO kit. That's how it works for non-critical problems...

Volker.

Ah, I missed that thread about this problem.

Thanks for the explanation!
