Has anyone else ran into this problem with Webes. Webes has an expiration code. Call into support and they say "upgrade". But the latest version for 7.3-1 openVMS alpha is 4.4.3 - the version we have installed. The suggestion was to remove webes and then reinstall.
For those that work directly on WEBES support - please let the people that do the programming know that removing and reinstalling a working software is NOT the best way to renew a license.
If there is a workaround that others can share I would be interested. As it stands I am escalating this up through the Gold TAM.

Re: WEBES expires
Peter,
Yes there is an easy way to fix this problem without "upgrading". I don't have all of the details, but you are on the right track with calling your TAM. If he/she gives you the same "upgrade" answer, give him/her the following hints:
$ desta servob show
and
$ desta servob change
You should be able to "fix" the problem without "upgrading".

Re: WEBES expires
I got similiar information about re-entering obligation dates from HP engineer late last night. I wonder why the official stance was to reinstall.
