What patches do I have?

Is there a way in OpenVMS to determine what patches (ECOs) have been installed on a machine?

Re: What patches do I have?

Just a second ago I needed that and I typed in...

$ PRODUCT SHOW HIST *

The top lines were all that I needed to know...

Re: What patches do I have?

Also $type sys$update:vmsinstal.history; ... depending on which version of VMS and platform you have.

Re: What patches do I have?

The previous three replies answer the question you asked.

Sometimes that question is being asked in the context of "What other patches do I need to install to be current". If that is where you are headed, PointSecure has a great little tool to analyze the patches on your VMS system. And the tool is free! http://www.pointsecure.com/products/patch_anl.aspx
