I want to change node name of my server.
When I give show net I got following output.
$ show net
Product: DECNET Node: OVMS83 Address(es): 13.25
Product: TCP/IP Node: bond007.eri.xko.dec.com Address(es): 16.138.189.68
I want to change node name OVMS83 to bond07.
To do this I run the script file:
@sys$startup:NET$CONFIGURE.COM
and configure the node name to bond07 but it didn't work.
After that I restarted the system but then also it didn't work.
Can anyone help me how to change the node name.
Regards,
ajaydec

Re: how to change node name
have a local database use decnet_register
to make a definition for it. use sysgen
to set the scsnode to bond07. if the addess
hasn't changed you don't need to change scssystemid.
