how to display Chinese/Hanzi

my customer are using VMS8.3 on IA64 system and they want to display Chinese/Hanzi in DECWINDOWS. Anyone can give some suggestion.

U know nothing but I think it's an option while installing DECW (I have I18 installed on 7.3 and have *hanzi* files on the system disk).

http://www1.sqp.com/MasterIndex/installation_guide/installation_guide_000b8e98.txt and do a find for chin.

FWIW, local language variants are (or were) available for a few specific environments and languages.

SPDs for these language variants -- those that are price-book products -- are available from the SPD listings available at http://docs.hp.com/

I don't see Hanzi currently listed, but then I'd expect the regional HP folks would have more information on this.

Non-pricebook products and customizations tend to be country- or region-specific, and information on those is usually available from the regional sales or support center folks; those HP folks that deal with OpenVMS in your area.

These language kits do tend to be specific to a particular DECwindows release, which itself tends to be specific to a range of OpenVMS releases.
