the show memory command shows "system tested memory = 256MB". steve

i tried to boot with the following command "b -fl 0,1 dka100" to go into conversational boot but still i get the same error as "insufficent dynamic memory for a request of 4592 bytes".

I have not done any changes to the server.

as I've said before, this message seems to be issued by the Alpha SRM console and not by OpenVMS !

Could you switch the console to serial mode, connect a terminal emulator and capture the console output ? Then post it here as an attached .TXT file. Include >>> SHOW * and other SHOW commands at the console level.
