integrity rx2600 tape drive

Where do I find out what magnetic tape drives the OpenVMS v8.2 ia64 supports for the rx2600?

I connected one of our OpenVMS v8.2 Alpha supported magnetic tape drives.
On the ia64 I saw the tape drive recognized by the BIOS as
Scsi(Pun5,Lun0) COMPAQ SDT-10000

But a $ SHOW DEVICE does not find any such device.

How do I disk image backup and restore?
