old TIMA urls ... how to translate and use today?
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/asktima/operating_systems/009694DA-62EA44E0-1C0097.html
how to I translate that to a URL that works today?
It would actually be more useful if there is a way to do general searching or browsing on all those TIMA posts/articles/example programs :-)

Searching the knowledgebase using james
http://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/james/home.do
does not seem to find them any more.

Re: old TIMA urls ... how to translate and use today?
Whatever the asktima stuff (TIMA gateway?) was doing, it's no longer doing. Or the back-end data is disconnected or gone.
You might want to contact HP directly and see if they have copies of the articles of interest somewhere in their stash.

Re: old TIMA urls ... how to translate and use today?
My bookmark to the old search engine still brings up a page but any attempt to use it dies with an error (also reported, also never received any response).
Sorry. I've needed info from them too, but HP apparently no longer provides them.

Re: old TIMA urls ... how to translate and use today?
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3Amvb.saic.com+%22broadcast+trapping%22+ptd
If that doesn't get you enough, drop the ptd bit from the query.
Also see SYS$EXAMPLES:ALPHA_LOGGER.C, and see the broadcast mailbox mechanism available via the terminal driver.
Access to TIMA (when it was on-line) appears to have been blocked to Googlebot and the Internet Archive and other spiders, so it's unlikely there is a cache of this data outside of HP.
Tis a shame all this stuff vaporized. Ah, well.

Re: old TIMA urls ... how to translate and use today?
Ancient patches (released before 24th Sep 2003), can still be found on the old Sydney CSC ECO web site.
Go to:
http://ftp.hp.com.au/pub/ecoinfo/ecoinfo/top.htm
click on "Search ECOs" and enter the name of the ECO you want. The web site has an indexed archive of all TIMA ECO articles from 1993 to 2003. If it's old enough, the search will find the latest version of the kit, plus all dependencies.

Re: old TIMA urls ... how to translate and use today?
I have also discovered that using the james search engine
http://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/james/home.do
and search only the "Engineering notes, solutions, bug reports, FAQs" category seems to locate some of the classics
