openvms 8.3 , upgrade firmware 5.9 to 7.3 now dont boot

Lets try this again.

Do a >>> boot -fl 0,30000 and post the COMPLETE output. The previous entries have too little info to take a guess.

thanks all. i just update the firmware to the old 5.78 and it works just fine. i installed the openvms 8.3 with no problen, i now can boot with cd rom again. but i still want it working on firmware 7.3

Note, it is unlikely that a firmware problem will affect the contents of the disk.

On the next iteration, it will save a lot of effort if the working presumption is that the disk contents are ok (at least until there is hard evidence to the contrary).

Does DS10 have DE602 network adapter? if have you plug out for testing.

i download the 5.7 iso, burn on cd but lfu wont read. it says it dont have any firmware.i use the same cd, pick just the files, saved on a floppy and use lfu again. nothing, same problem.i use alphabios update in the same floppy and it reads, uptadeted to 5.7 and works fine.
