permissions required to use OpenVMS Management Station

Hi there

Does anyone know what permissions a VMS account requires to be able to use OpenVMS Management Station.
It works OK using system, but as per auditors report, we are no longer supposed to use system account, and each have inidivual accounts. When I use my individual account I am unable to use Mgmt station.
Thanks for your advice.

I guess the OPERATOR privilege will be needed to stop and start (batch and printer) queues.

Try with an account with TMPMBX NETMBX OPERATOR.

If OMS resets passwords, it will need SYSPRV, so it is in the same category as a SYSTEM account or all privileges.

I see on

http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/argus/index.html

"OpenVMS Management Station makes it easy to update a process quota, add a privilege, grant a rights identifier, and so forth, for each instance of your account."

So I think a SYSTEM account (or a copy of such an account) is needed.
