Re: ping is not working.
Now it seems (combining all of your comments) that the only problem is pinging OUTBOUND from EA1DS2. Is this correct???
Does EA1DS2 have a default route set??
TCPIP SHOW ROUTE /DEFAULT
have you tried moving the EA1DS2 connection to a different port on the Switch?
Ping is (I think) ICMP traffic, so it is possible there is some kind of block stopping EA1DS2 from pinging out.
When you try to ping, what response do you actually get (cut and paste would be useful)
Dave.

>>>Yes,
Does EA1DS2 have a default route set??
TCPIP SHOW ROUTE /DEFAULT
Type Destination Gateway
DN 0.0.0.0 172.16.129.134
have you tried moving the EA1DS2 connection to a different port on the Switch?
>>>No ,because already EA1DS2 is pinging from EC0DS1/2 and EA0FE1/2
Ping is (I think) ICMP traffic, so it is possible there is some kind of block stopping EA1DS2 from pinging out.
When you try to ping, what response do you actually get (cut and paste would be useful)
>>>ucx ping ea1ds2
PING ea1ds2 (172.16.129.130): 56 data bytes
Cont+C
100 packets transmitted,0 packet received, 100% packet loss
%SYSTEM-F-TIMEOUT,device timeout
hope to see from your side

There is a known forum problem with IE and .zip files. Use this URL instead:

Defined how? These systems have multiple
interfaces, don't they? It may be _called_ a
"hosts" table, but _interfaces_ have
addresses, not hosts. (If a host has only
one interface, then you can talk about that
host's address, but it's really the address
of an interface.)
Unless I'm missing something, I still know
nothing about system EA0DS1 (IP addresses,
routes, ...).

If they are in the same LAN, then why don't
they have the same routes?

Ping _what_ does not happen?

Still true.
