rexec and password expiration.
We use REXEC from PC to VMS to start a CDE client that transports its GUI to the PC (KEA!X).
REXEC doesn't handle expired passwords and so the user can start CDE even with an expired password.
Is there a way to force a password chance within CDE (not "set pass" because this is only valid in a decterm) ?

Re: rexec and password expiration.
Wilm, I suspect this is because 'Network' process don't check the 'expired' flag.
The only way I can see this working is to make a specific check from the application itself, and force the user to enter a new password, feeding that back to VMS.
Whether CDE is capable of that, I don't know.

Re: rexec and password expiration.
I'd guess that it either refuses the login, or accepts it regardless. I'd be very surprised if it actually prompted for a new password, or even let you know you need to change it.
