strange output form SDA> show config "00353039.42534D56 (VMSB905)" as Device/HW

I've got two AlphaServer 1000A 5/400 with an identical/similar configuration in a cluster.
One of them shows 00353039.42534D56 (VMSB905) as Device Name /HW-Id in an EISA Slot
Have a look at the attachment.
Does anyone know what that is or how it is created?

Using a search string of VMSB905 I'm pulling up an installation procedure for your FE to use when installing a DigiChannel PC/X terminal board. Does that help any? /jeff(software guy)

Sorry, I've some difficulties with the acronym FE. Does it mean Field Engineer? It would make sense. It took a little time but I guess I can follow you.

Okay, I try:
It's an EISA slot and an ECU execution would be necessary. An adapter doesn't have to exist physically in that slot yet maybe it has been removed someday but the EISA configuration is still alive on that AXP mainboard. This mainboard wasn't used always in that box with OpenVMS. Probably in a box with nOVMS where DigiChannel PC/X could work.
I'm not able to find a relationship between 00353039.42534D56 (VMSB905) and DigiChannel PC/X terminal but specially your pointer to the "DigiChannel PC/X terminal board" which isn't mentioned in the OpenVMS area gave me the entry point.

If that conclusion is okay your input helped a lot. Thanks Jeff.

Looking through that DigiChannel PC/X installation procedure, I see that at some point we've gone into ECU and used the 'add a module' option. We have used a file called VMSB905.CFG to configure that slot in the EISA. The quadword 00353039.42534D56 means nothing to me either.

I'm sorry, you're quite right, 'FE' is techno-slang for your HP Onsite Services Engineer, who can assist you with changes to ECU for this node.

I'm viewing an extract from the HP internal manual: "Installation Guide and Reference Manual for DigiCHANNEL PC/8(tm), DigiCHANNEL PC/4(tm), DBI 90021400G"
