146GB drives in a DS20 ?
Is there a reason why one could not gut
a DS-RZ1CB-VW (or other size) and replace
the drive with a 146 GB ?
In a DS20 I have the drives connected to
two KZPBA's (isp1040b)

Re: 146GB drives in a DS20 ?
Assuming that a KZPBA can deal with a disk
that large (36GB is as far as I've gone with
one), I'd expect that the only potential
problems would be power and heat. What's the
power consumption of the new disk, compared
with that of the old disk?
If space allows, it's sometimes possible to
add an extra fan near a warm disk drive to
let it survive longer than it would
otherwise.

Re: 146GB drives in a DS20 ?
nice about new technology the power
consumption is less, the old DS-RZ's
have a lot of room, and the DS20 moves
quite a bit of air.
I was more worried about anything
screwy with the BA35x type chassis.
