i have this error when i try to add u new volume in the domain_usr, but when i create a new domain whith the new volume it's all ok.
I user the advfs file system.
This is the error:
ERROR: This application will not run successfully unless it is used
on the processor(s) on which it is licensed. The licensed processor(s)
is the one on which the product requiring the PROD_ADV PAK
will execute. An ADVFS-UTILITIES PAK must be registered in the License
Database and activated in the kernel cache before this application
will run. Refer to the installation guide for the product requiring
the ADVFS-UTILITIES PAK for license database PAK registration instructions.

Re: Add Volume to domain_usr
"Refer to the installation guide for the product requiring the ADVFS-UTILITIES PAK for license database PAK registration instructions."
So why not reading the message carefully and do what the command suggested?

Re: Add Volume to domain_usr
Did you try advfs(4)?
A set of utilities that expands the capabilities of the AdvFS file system
is available as a separately licensed product: The AdvFS Utilities. These
utilities include capabilities such as adding volumes without reconfiguring
the directory hierarchy of the file system, cloning filesets to enable
online backup, improving system performance with domain balancing, and file
striping. A graphical user interface (GUI) that simplifies file system
management is available with the utilities.
AdvFS Utilities
The AdvFS Utilities are licensed and purchased separately from the Tru64
UNIX operating system. However, the software and the reference pages for
them are installed when you install the base system. You must activate a
Product Authorization Key to activate the Advanced File System Utilities.
Product Name is: ADVFS-UTILITIES

Re: Add Volume to domain_usr
the problem is a licence for advfs utilities.
