Re: Add new SCSI tape for backing up all files systems

1) Check the cabling and make sure it's correct.

2) I assume this is a table-top TZ87. We no longer have TZ87s so I can't say for sure. Look at the back of the tape drive and you may see a switch for the SCSI ID. On the tape drives we do have it is set to 6.

3) Turn the power off & then back on, 1st the tape drive and then the Alpha.

4) At the >>> prompt 'init' and then do a 'show device' again. See if the MKxn00 shows up.

Re: Add new SCSI tape for backing up all files systems

The tz87 I wanted to plug in the tower
seems to be incompatible.

The tabletop TZ works fine, immediatly.

Thank's to all.

Regards,

Fodil.
