Adding 110/220/G SDLT Tape on Tru64

Needs help.

I am trying to install a tape drive on Tru64 with no luck.
I have tried to scan it with hwmgr -scan scsi and /sbin/dn_setup -install_tape

Regards

Re: Adding 110/220/G SDLT Tape on Tru64

First check if hardware is still supported by machine, os and controller (see supported option list for additional informations how to install that kind of tape).

hwmgr -scan scsi should be the one and only command which scans the scsi bus and makes the device visible to the system (it may not assign a device name but it should be listed). If it will not be seen check hardware, supported option list etc.

Re: Adding 110/220/G SDLT Tape on Tru64

Please find details below:
Machine type:HP Compaq, DA-57AAB-AA
OS Release:5.1a
Controller attached:SCSI ( If want you wanted)
Exact Tape Model:110/220/G SDLT ( This is the only info I can see on the tape drive)

Hopes that this info helps.

Sorry, but why doesn't you check your configuration by yourself, all the informations are on the HP website. Or if you have a valid software contract open a call within the HP support center.

Hi,

Check the tape drive is compatible with Tru64 machine. In case of hardware i prefer to log a call with HP
