Addvol & rmvol

Hi All,

My configuration: DS20/Tru64 4.0G

Data1_domain = rzc39c, rzd39c, rze39c and rzf39 (HSZ80 LUN).

I want to replace this disks by a new volume rzc49c (HSZ80 LUN). So I wished to use the commands addvol & rmvol (AdvFS Utilities).

Does it possible to launch a sript (without problem) with the whole of the orders:

addvol /dev/rzc49c data1_domain
rmvol /dev/rzc39c data1_domain
rmvol /dev/rzd39c data1_domain
rmvol /dev/rze39c data1_domain
rmvol /dev/rzf39c data1_domain

Thank you in advance for yor answers

Cordialy,
Dominique

Re: Addvol & rmvol

Hi Dominique,

Yes you can do this, however by default the rmvol command prompts for confirmation before continuing. In a script you would therefore need to use the -f option.

For example:

rmvol -f /dev/rzc39c data1_domain

Hope this helps,

Regards,
