AdvFS domain tmp_domain is full

I have received the folliowing message that the tmp_domain file system is full.

I have been looking to free some space but unable to find anything obvious.

Can anyone suggest what I could use to free some space?

I have attached a file showing the output of df -k.

14-Feb-2008 14:53:53 [600] AdvFS: AdvFS domain tmp_domain is full
14-Feb-2008 14:53:53 [400] vmunix: /cluster/members/member0/tmp: file system full

Re: AdvFS domain tmp_domain is full

As I can see this should be /var/tmp
It was full but it is not right now.
Maybe some application use /var/tmp as temporary directory.
What applications are running on that server?

Re: AdvFS domain tmp_domain is full

Double check if the space reported by df is the same as du -sk.

Also, check if you are runing out of inodes with df -i.

Re: AdvFS domain tmp_domain is full

You could use /sbin/advfs/vdf (instead of df)command to get more accurate details.

Re: AdvFS domain tmp_domain is full

The file system was freed up by the database administrator who had created a large amount of data.

Thank you for all your help.
