Boot Automatically

Hello All

I have a TRU64 4.0g and it doesn´t boot automatically.
I would like to know where should i configure so that when the system boots it does automatically.
Because now í have to type boot in order to boot the system.

Hi,

when you are at the console prompt p000>>>
show auto*
you will see AUTO_ACTION HALT
set it to boot.

you can also do it with:
consvar -s auto_action boot
check with
consvar -g auto_action

Hello Michael

i try this command "consvar -g auto_action"
and it shows me this ..

"auto_action = boot"

so this means that the next time i boot the system , it will boot automatically ??

Hi,

as soon as the machine is started, it automatically boots. There are however advantages to auto_action halt. If the machine crashes while booting, it may make things worse when the machine boots endlessly.

Michael , to be honest i am new in this Operating System ...
I don´t understand very well .
