Re: CDE logout problem

Hello, I guess the tooltalk demon is not running in your system. You can stop and start the xlogin and then login to the cde session.

/sbin/init.d/xlogin stop
/sbin/init.d/xlogin start

Thanks,

Re: CDE logout problem

Kashi,
Check your network configuration and make sure that the following is true:

# 1) A network interface configuration is optional.
# However, if the network interface is not configured, the environmental
# variable "DTNONETWORK=true" must be set/exported.
# To do this, define and export the DTNONETWORK environment variable in your $HOME/.dtprofile file.
#
# 2) If there is a primary network adaptor, it must be UP.
# If the primary network adapter is not up, then the loopback device
# must be UP.
#
# 3) The inet daemon must be running.
#
# 4) The portmap daemon must be running.
#
# 5) The hostname and IP address for the primay network adapter must match
# the entry in /etc/hosts
#
# 6) Make sure that /etc/hosts is readable by everyone on the system.
#
# 7) Also make sure that /etc/rc.config is also readable by everyone on the system.

Re: CDE logout problem

i tried options provided by you but all in vain. now errors are "Tooltalk connection could not be established" due to which CDE doesnot logout and File editor doesnot work as well.

Hello, can you please ensure that the tool talk daemon is running or not; restart that if it is not running.
