Can't find rdg subsystem
I am setting up Tru64 5.1B-2 server on ES45 Alpha server for installing oracle 10g. When i ran the system check script(given by Oracle), i noticed the following.
msg_size_Undef
max_objs_Undef
max_async_req_Undef
max_sessions_Undef
rdg_max_auto_msg_wires_Undef
From the oracle preinstallation documents i noticed that these parameters are set for rdg subsystem.
Is rdg subsystem installed as part of base os or for trucluster? I dont see this subsystem installed on my system.
# sysconfig -s rdg
rdg: unloaded
Without setting up these parameters, oracle installation is giving errors.
Thanks for help in advance.

Trucluster.
Do you have CLUSTER setup with Memory Channel as Cluster Interconnect?
If you don't have a clsuter, then you do not need rdg.
The rdg subsystem is initialized at boottime (/sbin/init.d/clu_max) with the help of /usr/sbin/rdginit.
/usr/sbin/rdgstats allows you to see the activity (usually all nill) of the rdg subsystem.
Regards,
Hein.
