Changing HSV110 from SCSI-2 to SCSI-3 in Tru64
Hello,
I was trying to convert the HSV storage array from SCSI-2 to SCSI-3. How can that be done. Is SCSI-3 supported in Tru64?
Thanks in advance

Re: Changing HSV110 from SCSI-2 to SCSI-3 in Tru64
What System ES40? .. GS1280?
What OS version?
The HSV is a controller which is typically connected with fibre, one one side to a switch, on the other to disk trays.
Scsi-2 or Scsi-3 does not come into play.
Please explain in more detail what storage you are trying to connect and covert.
Staring at the Tru64 box.. and KZPGA connected to a siwtch with 1 or 2 gb fiber?
Which switch? The onto an MSAxxx or EVA with an HSV controller? Numbers?
Now if you change stuff 'behind' a controller, then Tru64 will never know. Go for it! Tru64 sees only the LUNs, not the DISKs.
If you do have SCSI-2/3 cables, then which interface? KGPSA? KZPCA-xx?. What cables? Old fat BN21 ? LVD ? BN31 ?
Please help us help you!
