Re: DEGPA 4.0F Kernelmessage: pci opton table
You might want to compare your /etc/sysconfigtab file entry for the DEGPA
with the one listed below. This is taken from a V4.0f system.
#
# alt: DEGPA Gigabit Ethernet
#
alt:
# PCI_Option = PCI_SE_Rev - 0x210, Vendor_Id - 0x12ae, Device_Id - 0x1, Rev -
0, Base - 0, Sub - 0, Pif - 0, Sub_Vid - 0x1011, Sub_Did - 0x600A, Vid_Mo_Flag
- 1, Did_Mo_Flag - 1, Rev_Mo_Flag - 0, Base_Mo_Flag - 0, Sub_Mo_Flag - 0, Pif_Mo
_Flag - 0, Sub_Vid_Mo_Flag - 1, Sub_Did_Mo_Flag - 1, Driver_Name - alt, Type - C
, Adpt_Config - N
Where did you get the DEGPA ?
If you purchased it from HP, are you certain that it was ordered for an Alpha
and not an HP UX system ?
You might try booting the system into genvmunix and then try running sizer -n {filename}
to generate a new kernel configuration file. The existing vmunix image may not
have knowledge of the device.
You may also have to enter the device manually in the configuration file, then rebuild
the kernel.

Re: DEGPA 4.0F Kernelmessage: pci opton table
Hi,
the card is from compaq for alphaserver.
I try the genvmunix and sizer, but the problem is the same error message from genvmunix, and sizer -n ist without alt0.
Best regards
Manfred

Re: DEGPA 4.0F Kernelmessage: pci opton table
Firmware is uptodate, DEGPA-SA and DEGPA-TA are the only supported options with DS20.
So please check what type of DEGPA you have installed.
