how to enable telnet access in tru64 digital5.1 Operating System?

have a look into /etc/inetd.conf, there should be a line containing ... telnetd ...

If it is not commented it will start if you try to login.

Or what is your problem exactly?

Jagadesh,

If you're talking about "root" access via telnet then all you have to do is edit "/etc/securettys" and add the line "ptys" (more info is within the file).

If this is not the case, please provide more information so the problem can be diagnosed.

have a look also at /etc/allow.hosts if the service isn't denied.
