I've got a system crash while event viewer was started.
And now any time I'me starting the Evmviever it warns me that "Another session of Evmviever is running from this account".
If there any locking file I need to remove?
P.S.
It wold be nice if the programm would remove lock automatically if this lock is older than uptime...

Solution
Hello,
I believe the file used for this check is in the users $HOME/.sysman_{hostname} directory, substitute {hostname} with your systems hostname, and named 'evmviewer_lock'. example: $HOME/.sysman_T64ALPHA/evmviewer_lock
There is also a temporary file opened in /tmp/ directory and uses the naming convention "vsumms_{user}_{pid}.{random_number}", example: /tmp/vsumms_root_26773.tmplHbE2T
I believe it's used for managing saved customizations by the user for event viewer sysman app.
Hope that helps,
Dave Bechtold
