HBA cards couldnot bee seen when booting VMUNIX
i have two HBA cards installed on my ES40 alpha server with TRU64 version 4.0F when am booting using VMUNIX kernel and went to the log file kern.log i couldnot see these two cardes whil if am booting with GENVMUNIX i could see these two cards with emx0,emx1 i rebuilt the kernel from this step but when i booted again using the VMUNIX after coping the new file to the root / i faced the same problem of not seeing these two cards

sure i did, what i get during the boot process by booting with VMUNIX is "has no matching entry in the PCI option table

i issu some commands like:
nm /vmunix | grep emx "i get a lot of emx lines"

V4.0F is quite old. What kind of cards are these? The latest ones are probably not supported.

sure i did iam not using the old file am overwriting this file, while the informatin of the HBA cards is:

Can show the result of the following command:
strings /vmunix | grep 'emx driver rev'
It should show 2.10 as the version and would confirm that the driver is in the kernel.
