regarding to HSG80 acs 8.7f I configure 24 raid1,
and 3 RIAD0+1
every raid0+1 is 3 raid1 and then stripe them,
I read the hsg80 doc I mention that I cannt use
addition raid1 or I cannt create addtion raid0+1,
please advise.

Re: HSG80 acs 7.8f
There is a controller limit of 30 storage sets of type (RAID-1, RAID-5). If you already have 24 RAID-1 and 6 RAID-5, then you can't create any more RAID-1 or RAID-5 sets.
But perhaps you are asking for mirroring an existing mirror or striped mirror, something like this:
> add mirrorset m1 disk10000 disk20000
> add mirrorset m2 disk30000 disk40000
> add mirrorset m3 m1 m2
or
> add mirrorset m1 disk10000 disk20000
> add mirrorset m2 disk30000 disk40000
> add stripeset s1 m1 m2
> add mirrorset m3 disk10100 disk20100
> add mirrorset m4 disk30100 disk40100
> add stripeset s2 m3 m4
Such configurations are not possible with the HSG firmware - you can only stripe existing mirrors - other layering of RAID-0, RAID-1 or RAID-5 is not possible.

Re: HSG80 acs 7.8f
many thanks,
my question is :
I have configured 24 raid1,each is file system,
then I add tow raid+1 using three mirrors,
i.e I create three raid1 then stripe them,
I want to create new raid0+1 using the same manner,
note:the total number of raid1 is 30
(24 (raid1) + 6 (raid0=1) )
please advise,

Re: HSG80 acs 7.8f
you are talking about the same thing I guess.
Just try the second example of Uwe.
Uwe,
I haven't thought about mirrored mirror sets. Is that for paranoids?
greetings,
Michael
