Impossible mount cdrom in Tru64 5.1B

I have installed Tru64 5.1B in an ALPHA VME/5 480 and when I want to mount cdrom the process is hanged.

Hello,

Are you reffering to a correct device ?
For example, output of
hwmgr -v d
file /dev/rdisk/cdromXc
for example on my system I see:
/dev/rdisk/cdrom0c: character special (19/38) SCSI #0 "RRD47" disk #1 (SCSI ID #5) (SCSI LUN #0)
can you run
scu -f /dev/rdisk/cdrom0c
scu>tur

Is the device ready ?

Please be more specific:
- what type/modell of CDROM do you have?
- what CDROM was inserted into the drive?
- have you tried other CD's like the OS CD?
- any error messages within messages or binary.errlog?
- is a patchkit installed?
