Looking for "Universal Language Pack"

Tru64 5.1B

When trying to install OVOW agent, we need to be able to convert from ISO8859-1 to UTF-8.

This supposedly can be done with the "Universal Language Pack"

Where is this located in the Tru64 media?

Thanks,
Norm

Re: Looking for "Universal Language Pack"

Hi Norm,

I think you might need the "Worldwide Language Support" packages which are on the Associated Products Volume 1 CD.

Hope this helps,

Re: Looking for "Universal Language Pack"

Rob,

We saw that but it wanted to load a whole lot of stuff and there was no single item to get the UTF-8 fonts.

Thanks,

Re: Looking for "Universal Language Pack"

Hi Norm,

Did you actually let it install...?

Looking at the language support page here:

http://h30097.www3.hp.com/unix/i18n.htm

this seems to suggest that this is what you need, even if it does install more than you want...

Cheers,

Re: Looking for "Universal Language Pack"

In that case, what you need to do is install option 7 of your language installation, that contains all the utf8 you require. The name of this option is ) Euro (Latin-9 & Unicode)

The multilanguage support can be located on the associated products volume 1

You can also confirm how many utf8 were installed by executing the following command: ls /usr/lib/nls/loc

This detailed information was obtaind from an ITRC case.

Thanks,
