MSL600 tape lib

Hi Admins,
related to trucluster 5.1A,F.C switch,tape library msl6000,
tape library is known from cluster members,
I connect new server to the F.C switch and run
# hwmgr scan scsi
but the tape library dosnt known to new server
I need to use the tape library from this server.
and i run #scu scan edt command
please advise.

Normally, the drive will recognize the new host if you reboot the host or if you reboot the library.

You could also use th "Edit Host List for Current Map" in the NSR menu to manually add a host.

I reboot both server and tapelibrary,
same problem,
is there are any software I should install in unix,

If you installed a NEW HBA on the server (probably the first), you may need to recompile the kernel to add the HBA driver to the kernel.

You should also ensure that the HBA is being seen by the SAN switch, enter to the SAN Switch and run switchshow to check that the HBA WWID is detected in the port that is connected.

ivan the server connected to F.C switche,
the F.C switch is is trucluster F.C swicth,
the server see cluster disks via F.C adapter
and tape library is connected to F.C cluster switch
I recompile kernel,no result,
I run
# scu scan edt
#dsfmgr -k
#dsfmgr -k
# hwmgr scan scsi
no resultes
please advise,

Maybe, this could be a zoning problem, check your zoning configuration or post the output of cfgshow, and indicate the ports that are connected to these hosts.
