Mail.log Doubt

Hey All,

I am checking the /var/adm/syslog0.date/current/mail.log
And i am getting the following message:

Mar 23 06:40:00 dasscws1 sendmail[14721]: My unqualified host name (dasscws1) un
known; sleeping for retry
Mar 23 06:41:00 dasscws1 sendmail[14721]: unable to qualify my own domain name (

Does anyone Know what this could be ?

time to start mailsetup and answer the questions correctly....

But on Unix, yes many doubts ...and if you can help , i appreciate.

did you try, what Ralf suggested?
The first message means, that you need a host name + domain name to fully qualify it for sendmail.
