Hi,
I had two ES45 (2 GIGAETHERNET cards, one dual port FASTHERNET card) running oracle 9i with more than 1200 user but not heavy leaded (10-20% cpu usage).
On both box was configured net rain this way:
nr0=bcm0,bcm1
nr1=ee0,ee1
ee0 and ee1 goes to a CATALYST 4500 box
bmc0 goes to the same CATALYST box
bmc1 goes to a 3com 4900 sx box
this physical configuration is for both ES45.
This monday I got around 4 crash from one ES45 all this crash happened on the same time the CATALYST was doing a failover around the supervisor (there was a packet storm at layer 2 level that moment).
Once the CATALYST go online again, I booted up the ES45 and crash again every time, I droped the net rain configuration on that box for this reason, and the ES45 booted up ok, and works fine since then.
Today I got a crash on the other ES45 box, today I got the same problem at the CATALYST. I had to drop the net rain to boot this box again.
My question. Is there any issue with net rain using PK5? any problem reported?
