Pl let me know, wheather this is ok or do i have to make any modifications before i start the upgrade. Quick response is highly appreciated.

Re: OS upgradation from 5.1A to 5.1B
1) Space requirements depends on your installed subsets.
2) Space requirements depends on the type of upgrade you will perform (rolling, non-rolling). But in your case it seems to be non-rolling on a standalone system.
Anyway, before the update starts, the procedure will check if there is enough space to continue.
You can check also chapter 3.5.7 of following document
http://h30097.www3.hp.com/docs/base_doc/DOCUMENTATION/V51B_HTML/ARH8SETE/TITLE.HTM
Now, seen the diskspace of / and /usr, there is certainly no problem in /usr.
I think that / will have enough space, but it is less sure. Before starting, check for corefiles, files in /tmp, multiple kernels, etc...

Re: OS upgradation from 5.1A to 5.1B
upgrade looks only for /, /usr and /var file systems. try to release some space under / since system need space to build kernel while upgrading (only 47MB available).
noproblem in others
