Re: Operating system and font packages for tru64unix

Hello,

The subsets for Tru64 UNIX that you are looking for are I think as follows.

OSFX11 (not OSF11) - On V5.1B Base OS (optional - Basic X11 environment)
OSFSER - V5.1B Base OS (optional, provides X11 server support)
OSFLIBA - On v5.1B Base OS (optional, Static Libraries)
OSFPGMR - On v5.1B Base OS (Standard Programmer Commands
OSFCMPLRS - On v5.1B Base OS ( Compiler Back End)

These are all on the Base OS distribution. I checked on v5.1B - current release.

The packages/subsets are not "fonts". The base X11 Server fonts are in the subsets shown below.

OSFAFM540 installed Adobe Font Metric Files (Printing En
vironment)
OSFFONT15540 installed DECwindows 100dpi Fonts (Windowing E
nvironment)
OSFFONT540 installed DECwindows 75dpi Fonts (Windowing En
vironment)
OSFMITFONT540 installed X Fonts (Windowing Environment)
OSFTRUETYPE540 installed TrueType Font Renderer (Windowing En
vironment)

I'm not sure about the Oracle universal installer piece of this - hopefully someone else can advise.

Hope that helps.

Re: Operating system and font packages for tru64unix

the named kits are all part of the BASE OS CD. Please insert the CD Rom into the drive mount it and type:

# setld -l

It will show the kits not currently installed on your computer. Now you can select and install the missing kits.
Help() { FirstReadManual(urgently); Go_to_it;; }
