PATCH V4.0F after NHD3
Hi all,
After a NHD kit is installed, is a Patch kit
able to be installed by the normal method
(ie: via dupatch in single user mode ) or do I
have to boot using -fi GENERIC to install the kit ?
Thanks,
John W.

Re: PATCH V4.0F after NHD3
Path kit installation continues the normal process, that is, dupatch in single user mode. You can boot the GENERIC kernel if you want to create a new kernel for newly added hardware or hardware that was not recognized before.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Re: PATCH V4.0F after NHD3
John,
No youdon't require to boot with GenericKermel you can use dupatch in single user mode for installing new patch kit, and if after that it doesn't recognise the H/W then you can recompile the kernel.

Manish Pathak
