Patch Installation ./etc/pmgrd_iorate.config origin
Dear All
As i am not more familiar with the Tru64, I am installing the Patch kit 4 for Tru64 5.1B but after ./dupatch its shows following error
Patch 25020.00 - SP04 OSFCLINET540 (SSRT3653 SSRT2384 SSRT2275...)
./etc/pmgrd_iorate.config
its origin can not be found and
/sbin/init.d/snmpd
its origin can not be found...
can anyone please tell what went wrong and how i will install the patch for the same.
thanks in Advance..
Mohammad Sanaullah

Re: Patch Installation ./etc/pmgrd_iorate.config origin
Hi,
I'm not sure about the pmgrd... problem, but I've seen the error about snmpd when installing a patch kit onto a system that has had a third party SNMP tool installed...
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob

Re: Patch Installation ./etc/pmgrd_iorate.config origin
The iorate.config file is for pmgrd daemon to track info for specific disks.
From 'man pmgrd':
...
/etc/pmgrd_iorate.config
Configuration file containing entries for disks to be monitored.
...
I think you can safely use the dupatch's 'Baselining' option to resolve this.
