Persistent Reservation in 5.1b

Managers,
Can someone tell me how to delete the persistent reservation of a device not needed from a Storage Array XP1024.

I attach the documentation that you need.

Re: Persistent Reservation in 5.1b

Hi David,

Just to be clear... you said "a device not needed" and I'm assuming also that it is "not used" by the cluster presently. In this case clearing the PR should be okay. But don't clear PRs on storage that you're using while the cluster is booted (unless it's a single-member cluster that's booted). Just wanted to post the warning so someone doesn't take this out of context and get into trouble.

Greg

Re: Persistent Reservation in 5.1b

Hi Greg, good to hear from you. Yes, thats correct. These devices were not used by the cluster anymore and wanted to delete them so the lun can be used in a separate server. However, I found out there is a reservation issue which is on the HBA from the Storage Array. We are facing the same situation with a Solaris and AIX servers.

Thanks for the info and sugestions.

David
