Problem with Netstat

Apparently, Netstat is not a valid Win32 Application... When I enter "netstat" into the command prompt in windows XP, it pops up with a message telling me that netstat is not a valid win32 app, and then it says access denied. If anyone can help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated!
