RA3000 software

Hi everyone,

I installed 5.1-B on a DS20 and when I tried to install the agent for the RA3000, it said it is not compatible to that version. I tried to find a newer version, however fruitless. Does anyone know where to find it?

thanks,

Michael

Re: RA3000 software

Hello Michael,
I have checked the old RA3000 web-site at:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/RA3000/index.html
but I have not found anything - I don't recall that it was ever on the public web pages. I suggest you ask the HP support if they have an update or can provide a workaround.

Is the RA3000 supported on 5.1B? I cannot check right now, sorry.

Re: RA3000 software

Hi you don't need the agent.

1. install on a windows computer the storage works cc hsz22 software and connect with serial to the raid controller and create raid set you desire.

2.then at boot prompt do show dev
there you shoud se a device that has something like hsz22 on the same line as the disk. If you see it you have a good connection to storage

3. then boot to 5.1b and look in /dev/disk/dsk? and edit the disklabel or
you can use X application diskconfig to manage the disk directly.

4 Then use sysman to create advfs partition on the raid set.

Hope this helps

Re: RA3000 software

Hi,

thanks for the comment. I have got a new version of the ra3000 software.
I do not need it just for configuration. I check whether the disk are ok. We have an extensive network and it is not possible to do that on site.
