Re: RA3000

It was a long time ago I worked with RA3000.
As far I can remember there was a software kit that should be installed on TRU64. That kit came with RA3000.
I will try to remember.

Re: RA3000

There was a RA3000 solution software kit for TRU64.
Part number was QB-5TWAB-SA

Re: RA3000

Could someone know where to download?

Re: RA3000

Not sure it can be downloaded.
It had to be ordered from Compaq (now HP).
But maybe someone has it.

Re: RA3000

RA3000 (HSZ22) had basic support in 4.0D (problem with file), and full support in 4.0E. But then later it was not support in 5.x cluster environments. Is this a cluster?

Anyway... display sure looks odd.

I would suspect hardware.

Triple-check cabling and active/passive termination.
Maybe provide details here.

To really allow us to help you, please share the configuration as defined on the RA3000 (HSZ22?)

Specifically the output for
SHOW UNITS
SHOW THIS

Hein.

Re: RA3000

Hi Hein,

Its just a standalone system.

doesnt show the output for SHOW UNITS and SHOW THIS in SRM console.

Re: RA3000

Ah sorry for not elaborating, those would be HSZ commands.

Either use HSZTERM nee SCSI$PAD, /usr/lbin/hsxterm5 in V5+
fromt eh Tyru64 box ... if you have a good connection or use a direct terminal connection (recent PuTTY, hyperterm,...) to the serial line on the HSZ22.

Re: RA3000

Just the commandline output from SHOW THIS and SHOW UNITS woudl be a good start.
Post it here, but de sure to also attach the output as a .TXT file for better readability.

And a description of the cable/connections would help.

HSZ22 is a in FWD SCSI setup right?
With BN21 cabling?
Clean cable... with no bend pins in connectors!? Inspect visually!.
Y-cable or Tri-link with terminator?
KZPBA - auto terminating? (I forget how that interface is setup and no time to look it up now. The older KZPSA had an optional resistor pack for cable termination.
