can you explain the purpose of these options to us? I guess most Tru64 Unix admins are not familiar with Solaris tools.

I think usually those adapter parameters are changed from the Alpha console by running the EEPROM configuration utility for KZPBA.
You would have to get down to Alpha Bios to do that. I don't know if there is a device driver paramter from Tru64 that would let you do this from the O/S though.
